100% Natural Indigo

DIY

Ticket is valid for 1 part

Ticket type:Small Dye Ticket (socks/thin scarves)

The Indigo Community Day is an open dyeing format for your own textiles.

You bring one to three textiles made of cotton, linen, or hemp and dye them together with others in the indigo vat. Each textile requires its own dye ticket . A maximum of three tickets can be booked per person.

We guide the process, explaining the technique and how to use the dye vat. You decide how intense the dyeing is – this is not a traditional workshop , but a supervised open studio with time, exchange, and space for experimentation.

Please allow approximately 60–90 minutes per textile. The Community Day takes place within a fixed time frame; within this framework, you can be flexible with your dyeing.

The Indigo Community Day is aimed at people who want to experience Indigo – quietly, through craftsmanship and together.

Important:
The textiles brought along must be freshly washed (without fabric softener).
Residues from production or use can affect the color result.

Light, washed textiles such as:

  • T-shirts, tops, socks
  • Lightweight long-sleeved shirts
  • Sweaters, pants and skirts

The textiles should be made of natural fibers such as cotton, linen, wool or silk.

  • No advance registration necessary
  • Spontaneous drop-in possible depending on availability
  • cash payment on site
  • Wear clothes that can get dirty
  • Gloves are provided

Traditional indigo dyeing transforms light-colored textiles into various shades of blue. The color develops during the dyeing process and becomes more intense with each dip. Our medium-strength dye bath enables classic indigo tones of medium intensity. Each piece receives its own, natural color depth.

Indigo dyeing is a natural, water-saving process. The traditional dyeing process does not use harmful chemicals and creates long-lasting textiles that improve over time.

What happens if my result is different than expected?

Indigo is a natural dye – results are unpredictable. That's precisely what makes the process so special.

Can I dye synthetic fabrics?

No. Only natural fibers are dyed.

Is this suitable for beginners?

Yes. We will guide you through the process; no prior knowledge is necessary.

What happens if my part is not suitable?

We reserve the right not to dye unsuitable textiles.
