Natural dyeing with plants & fabric
Dyeing time is a creative time for children who enjoy creating with real plants.
Together we'll dye a T-shirt with leaves, flowers, and natural materials – calmly, with focus, and without pressure to perform. Each child will design their own T-shirt and discover how color, shape, and material interact.
We use the bundle dye technique :
Plants are placed on the fabric, tied, and then fixed in steam. The process is simple, sensory, and well-suited for small hands.
The group is deliberately small.
This creates space for focus, curiosity, and individual results.
Parents provide support and are part of the framework – the creative process belongs to the children.
In the end, everyone takes their dyed piece home.
For whom: Children aged 4 and over (younger siblings only by prior arrangement)
Supervision: Adults provide support ; the creative part belongs to the kids.
Duration: approx. 1 - 1.5 hours (approx. 30 min. active + steam time)
Places: max. 4 children per time slot
Price: €29 per child

Why we share our studio
Our studio is more than just a room for dyeing.
For many, it's a day off from everyday life. Time for themselves, for slow processes, for colors that smell of nature.
Some bring a few T-shirts, others dye a piece for someone they love.
What everyone takes away: Something that lasts — and a feeling of what it’s like to transform something with your own hands.

Break during the steam era
While the pieces are dyeing in the steam, you can take a short break: in front of the studio (car-free on weekends) or 10 minutes towards Kalker Hauptstraße.
