An organized children's birthday party with a creative focus.
At the Cosmaki Atelier, children create their own T-shirt together using plant dyes.
To start, we first work on watercolor paper:
The children test flowers, leaves, and natural materials and directly see which colors emerge.
This develops a first feel for material and color before moving on to textiles.
Afterwards, the children design their T-shirt using the bundle-dye technique.
The materials are placed on the fabric, bundled, and fixed with steam.
The process is clearly structured so that all children can follow along well and work in peace.
The design phase is followed by an approx. 30-minute steaming phase.
This time is firmly scheduled.
Please actively plan for this phase:
Cake, snacks, gift giving, drinks (water on site), or small activities for the children.
Finally, the textiles are unwrapped and viewed together.
The finished pieces are fully dried and post-treated in the atelier.
They are not ready to be taken home immediately.
Once everything is finished, the textiles will be handed over in a bundle or can be picked up or shipped by arrangement.
Upon handover, the birthday child will also receive a small surprise.
The atelier is exclusively reserved for you during this time.

How old should the children be?
The workshop is suitable for children from about 5 years old .
It is important that the children can design things independently.
How many children can participate?
The children's birthday party takes place with 5-8 children .
Do we need to bring anything?
Please bring your own cake and candles if needed .
Everything needed for the workshop, including drinks (water and coffee), is provided on site.
Will it get very dirty?
We work with plant-based dyes.
Clothing should be stain-resistant or a change of shirt should be brought along.
What do we do during the steam age?
While the textiles are dyeing, there's time for cake, gifts, or a break outside in the quiet outdoor area.
Can siblings or parents also dye the dye?
The birthday party is intended for the registered children.
What happens if someone gets sick?
Please get in touch early. We can usually find a solution together.
